Hey there, great review! I've been interested in this engraver and even have a pending pre-order. However, I'm still torn between this and the Xtool S1 40W. Yes, the S1 is more expensive, but for about $2,200, I can get the S1 with the riser, radial engraver, and conveyor system. I've found hundreds of videos on the S1 discussing its pros and cons, but only a handful of people are praising this engraver, claiming it has zero flaws. What really sets this engraver apart from the S1? Why should I choose this one over the S1?

He has the air assist to disperse debris away, not sure what model but you probably could do that with 20 passes and cheap wood.

I'm always interested in seeing other shops set up. It is nice to take a little knowledge from each person, and create something unique that works for the space/style of work being performed. I am thinking about building a Japanese Black House tea house (really a shed) using 4x8 plywood and 2x4 studs with minimal cuts using the traditional wood burn techniques and building techniques but using the 4x8 size rather than the 3’x6’ tatami mat sizes. Any advice or ideas would be helpful as nobody has covered this. The idea is to have minimal waste with little cutting.

Great results…but I don’t think you mentioned that you are removing most of wood preservative material from the Japanese burn technique.

Nick, Help! What setting to use to cut mdf with the 20w diode WeCreat to cut back or stop the soot. It is driving me crazy. Keep in mind this is my first laser and all the "laser terms" are greek to me. I have the filter that they sell with the laser. Thank you! Judy
